Privacy & Cookie Policy
This policy explains how QuantMetrics Lab handles personal data, cookies, advertising technologies and third-party services when you use this website.
Last updated: 28 August 20261. Data controller
The controller of personal data processed through this website is Federico Orsini, operating QuantMetrics Lab as an independent research project.
2. Data we process
Most QuantMetrics Lab research content and indicator data can be viewed without creating an account or providing identifying information.
Depending on how you use the site, the following information may be processed:
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, timestamps, security events and server logs necessary to deliver and protect the website.
- Contact data: name, email address and the contents of a message if you contact QuantMetrics Lab by email or through a contact form.
- Newsletter data: email address, subscription status and, where enabled, technical information used to manage delivery and subscription preferences.
- Advertising and consent data: consent choices, device/browser identifiers and information processed by advertising providers when advertising services are enabled, subject to the choices available to you.
QuantMetrics indicator JSON files and research outputs do not contain visitor personal data.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
- operating, maintaining and securing the website, based on the controller’s legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure research service;
- responding to enquiries and communications, based on legitimate interest and, where relevant, steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement;
- sending newsletters or launch/research updates where you have subscribed, based on your consent;
- displaying and measuring advertising, and personalising advertising where permitted, based on consent where required by applicable law;
- complying with legal obligations and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
4. Cookies, local storage and consent choices
The website may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary for operation, security and consent management. Advertising technologies may also use cookies or local storage, depending on your location and choices.
For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, QuantMetrics Lab uses Google’s consent management solution to request and record choices for advertising and related purposes where required. For relevant U.S. states, a privacy message may provide an opt-out mechanism for the sale or sharing of personal information.
Where a privacy or consent control is displayed on the site, you can use it to accept, reject or manage available choices. Browser settings can also be used to delete or block cookies, although doing so may affect some website functionality.
5. Google AdSense and Google advertising services
QuantMetrics Lab uses or intends to use Google AdSense to finance free access to research content. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Where ad personalisation is permitted, ads may be based on previous visits to this or other websites.
Depending on your consent and Google settings, advertising may be personalised or non-personalised. Google may receive information such as the page URL and IP address when its services are integrated into a website.

The main QuantMetrics Lab dashboard may display a market-data ticker supplied by TradingView. According to TradingView’s widget documentation, its financial widgets do not set cookies, but information required to provide the widget may include the embedding page URL, widget type, displayed symbol and IP address.
